Your customer clicks 'track order' and lands on Delhivery's white screen — a page they visit 4 times, branded by someone else. Building a real tracking page on Shopify is easier than sellers assume.
What Shopify gives you
The order status page exists — customer sees confirmed → shipped → delivered with the tracking link. Thin but real; the link goes to the carrier's page. For most stores it's sufficient; for brands wanting the experience, it's a starting point.
The data layer
Pakka Parcel writes carrier status back to the Shopify order — the fulfilment carries the tracking number and carrier name. The status timeline ('picked up', 'in transit', 'OFD', 'delivered') updates automatically — the tracking data exists in the order.
The page itself
A 'Track Order' page on your store — simple template, order lookup by number+email or auto-magic via the order status page link. Shows the timeline cleanly: booked → picked → transit → OFD → delivered, with the raw carrier link for detail.
The proactive alternative
The tracking page is for the customer who checks; the notification is for everyone — WhatsApp/email at each milestone means the customer never needs to hunt status. Better retention than any page.
Pakka Parcel runs the whole stack described here — one place for every carrier.
