Shadowfax prices high-volume shippers on contract cards — a table of zone rates your account manager emailed you, not an API. Most shipping tools quietly skip carriers like this. Pakka Parcel does the opposite: it stores the card and quotes from it directly.
What a rate card looks like
Carrier cards collapse geography into a handful of zones. Pakka Parcel uses the same four-zone model for every contract carrier:
| Zone | What it means | Example lane |
|---|---|---|
| Local | Same city | Pune → Pune |
| Regional | Same state / adjacent region | Pune → Kolhapur |
| National | Rest of India, metro-to-metro | Pune → Delhi |
| Special | Remote / difficult lanes | Pune → northeast states |
Save your card once — every order's destination pincode resolves to a zone, and the card price appears as the quote. Blank a zone and Pakka Parcel simply won't offer Shadowfax on that lane — no guessing.
The setup — four steps
Enable Shadowfax
Carriers → Shadowfax → on. PLATFORM mode uses Pakka Parcel's contract; OWN mode uses your credentials.
Open the contract rates card
On Shadowfax's carrier page you'll see a zone editor per service (Regular, Surface) — this only appears in OWN mode, since the platform card is Pakka Parcel's.
Enter your zone prices
Fill in the rates from your contract — e.g. Local ₹39, Regional ₹49, National ₹59. Leave zones blank where you don't want the lane offered.
Quote and book
Any order → Get rates → Shadowfax shows your card price for the destination's zone. Booking issues a real AWB like any other carrier.

Your Shadowfax card sits next to live Porter and Borzo quotes — per-order rate shopping even without a rate API.
See how →The honest limits
Zone classification is state-level, not the carrier's exact pincode-pair matrix — a borderline lane can occasionally price a zone off. Carrier-provided zone lists can tighten it later. And card pricing is per-shipment flat — per-kg slabs aren't modeled yet.
The bottom line
Your negotiated rates shouldn't sit in an email attachment while you book at rack rates. The contract card puts your actual contract where decisions happen — next to every other carrier, on every order.
Ship every courier without leaving your store
