Most shipping tools hand you their rate card and call it integration. If you've already negotiated rates with Delhivery, Porter or another carrier, that model asks you to walk away from contracts you fought for. Bring-your-own-rates flips it: your accounts connect, your prices apply, and the tool does the work inside your admin.
What "your own courier accounts" actually means
You paste your carrier API credentials once — the same username/token you'd use on the carrier's own portal. From then on, every booking bills directly to your carrier account: your negotiated slabs, your COD terms, your invoice from the carrier. Pakka Parcel prepares the shipment and pushes it through your account; it never becomes the seller of record and never re-prices your rate.
Why your own rates usually win past a few hundred orders
Aggregator rates are pooled rack rates with a margin blended in — fair when you ship fifty orders a month, expensive when you ship five hundred. A direct contract rewards exactly what aggregators take away: your volume. Past roughly 300 orders a month, negotiated slabs typically beat published aggregator rates by 8–15% on your heaviest lanes — and the carrier invoice lands in your name for clean GST credit.
| Per ₹100 shipment | Aggregator rate card | Your account via Pakka Parcel |
|---|---|---|
| Carrier freight | ₹82–88 (blended) | Your negotiated rate, e.g. ₹74 |
| Platform cut | Hidden inside the rate | ₹0 markup on your accounts |
| Invoice in your name | Aggregator invoice | Carrier invoice — full GST credit |
| Rate renegotiation | Locked to their slabs | Yours to improve every quarter |
The honest catch — when platform rates beat yours
BYOK isn't automatically cheaper. Under ~200 orders a month, most carriers won't offer you a contract at all — or quote you rack rates worse than a pooled aggregator's. Hyperlocal fleets may not have a business product in your city yet. And a contract you got for "mostly Delhi–Mumbai" does nothing for a Guwahati order.
That's why Pakka Parcel runs both modes at once: connect the accounts you have, and platform accounts fill every gap. Each quote compares your rate against the platform rate on that lane — the cheaper eligible option is marked before you book.
How it works — four steps
Add your carrier credentials
In Carriers, connect your Delhivery, Porter or other account — the same API credentials from your carrier dashboard. Serviceability and COD terms sync automatically.
Your rate cards load
Zones, weight slabs, COD fees and surcharges come in as negotiated — not re-priced. What your contract says is what a booking costs.
Quotes compare both worlds
On every order, your account rates appear alongside platform rates for the same lane. The allocation rules pick the cheapest eligible option — or you pick it yourself on the order page.
One flow either way
Booking, labels, tracking, NDR and reconciliation work identically whether your account or the platform account billed the shipment — you never think about which ledger it hit.
The setup most sellers land on
Your Delhivery contract handles national lanes where your volume earns the discount; the platform's Porter or Borzo fleet covers same-city orders you can't serve yourself. Two accounts, one screen — and no markup on the shipments that run on yours.
Connect one carrier account and see your real rates on a live order — takes about ten minutes.
See how →The bottom line
Rates you negotiated shouldn't vanish because you changed tools. Connect the accounts you have, let platform accounts cover the gaps, and keep every quarter of renegotiation working for you instead of feeding someone else's margin.
